New Union Baptist Church was founded in October of 1890 in what is now known as the Frazier community outside Dayton, TN in Rhea County.

New Union has grown from 365 people on Sundays in one service to over 500 in two services each week. The growth of the church has resulted from healthy changes in ministry and has also resulted in changes as well. In September of 2012 Danny Ruehling resigned as sr. pastor following 34 years of faithful ministry. That same month I had the opportunity to begin as sr. pastor and it has been an incredible blessing. The church is multi-generational and defies the odds as God continues to use her to reach Rhea County and expand the kingdom around the world.
