Growing on the Go Video Podcast- Episode #1

In the Gospel of Matthew, we have Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples. Matthew 28:18-20 says,

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This new weekday podcast is based out of Verse 19 where Jesus says to “Go.” My hope is to encourage you and equip you each weekday to grow while you are on the go.

Today as you are going to and from work, home, relationships, appointments, the grocery store, on vacation, and out to eat be mindful that as a Christian, you have been sent in the name of Christ to each place and to each person. Your purpose today is connected to God’s mission in the world. You are to be a disciple, which means a follower of Jesus, who impacts the lives of others in the name of Christ. Your goal today is to be a disciple who makes disciples, who in turn will one day make disciples as well.

Every Christian has been called to live on mission for God in the world in which they live, and to take the message of Christ beyond their home to others who need to hear the Gospel.

As you go about your life on mission today, know this- God is with you. Jesus says at the end of verse 20 “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Three things:

  1. Jesus has saved us, how amazing is this truth, it never gets old.
  2. Jesus has sent us, so be on mission today with your family, co-workers, friends, neighbors, and all the people you come in contact with.
  3. Jesus promises to be with us. You can rest in that truth today in the midst of all that you face- you are not alone, the Lord is with you.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow as we continue Growing on the Go!
